The COVID-19 outbreak has has increased economic precarity, food insecurity, mental health vulnerabilities, compounding many of the issues faced by vulnerable members of our community. Service provision and supports for these community members have also been disrupted. During this time, having a platform for collaborative systems-thinking approaches is even more important then ever.
Thanks to support from the City of Kamloops and a partnership between Kamloops Elizabeth Fry Society and Kamloops Food Policy Council, over the next several months, we will be focusing on building the capacity of our group to deepen our collaborations and build resiliency within our community.
